i’ve got this beautiful wooden box more than one year ago. since then it was waiting to be applied. on the other hand there was this amazing root i found somewhere. i really love the tiny roots around the trunk. simply this brings out a work of art.
i wanted to show the very deep attachment between two individuals. to marry someone means to become one. the couple will be ‘jointly deep-rooted’. the bodies melt into one root. the clock face stands for perpetuity.
the cover is decorated with a handwritten calligraphed quote and an antique heartshaped metal lock.
as always i tried to focus this by using only a few materials and a limited color palette.
